I have to say, this recipe has completely captivated me. I’m a huge fan of Butterfingers and anything with peanut butter, so when I came across a homemade Butterfinger recipe, my curiosity was instantly sparked. I couldn’t believe it only had three ingredients! The flavor was spot on, and to my surprise, I discovered it was made with candy corn.
I’ve tried making these with both creamy and crunchy peanut butter, and the clear winner was the one made with crunchy peanut butter.
INGREDIENTS- 1 lb. candy corn
- 16oz jar peanut butter (I used Peter Pan Honey Roasted peanut butter)
- 16oz pkg. chocolate candy coating
DIRECTIONS
- Melt candy corn in microwave on high 1 minute. Stir and continue cooking in 15-second intervals until melted, stirring after each interval.
- Stir in peanut butter then spread mixture in an 8×8 pan lined with parchment. Cool completely. Cut into squares.
- Melt chocolate candy coating according to package directions.
- Dip cut candy bars in melted chocolate candy coating. Lay on waxed paper to harden.
